interim management
world class expertise on a short term basis leading to long-term solutions and long term benefits
TFPL have an extensive range of candidates available for interim management assignments related to knowledge, information, records, web and content management.
Interim management is a highly effective tool for organisations looking to implement change - and a much more efficient and cost effective approach than employing consultants. An Interim Manager will have specific targets and objectives for an assignment and will be responsible and accountable to achieve them. They will be selected for the interim management assignment with the specific knowledge and information skills, competencies and experience required.
Typical interim management assignments would include:
- Covering the loss of a senior executive, taking the opportunity to restructure and refocus before reappointing a permanent replacement
- Stand-in for a senior manager or executive whilst they are away from their position for a period of weeks or months
- Project manage the integration of knowledge and information teams after a merger or acquisition
- Injecting world class knowledge and information expertise to start up a new business unit in the fastest possible time
- Providing experienced support for restructuring or developing a new knowledge, information, records or content management strategy
- Assessing the requirements of a portal project, identifying and evaluating potential vendors, project managing the selection and implementing and handing over to an internal knowledge or information team
The Interim Manager is an individual who is:
- Successful and highly experienced in their sector
- An implementer - with a 'hands on' approach
- Ready to roll from day one
- Impartial, objective and apolitical
- An excellent communicator used to working well at all levels
- Confident, professional, and self motivated
- Capable of implementing change and managing transition at senior levels
Interim management professionals are highly focused on meeting their brief and aren't distracted by the challenges of managing their own careers. They bring more energy and drive to their assignment than would be possible with a permanent employee. Interim Managers typically work on a part time basis but deliver significantly more output than a permanent employee could hope to achieve.
